Thank you to everyone who came to Baltimore for our last URBANEXUS event of 2009 — especially the strong showing from Project HEALTH! The esteemed panel included Dr. Rick Barth of University of Maryland, Pastor Heber Brown of Pleasant Hope Baptist Church, David Dudley of Urbanite, Dr. Chris Gibbons of Johns Hopkins, Mark Marino of Project HEALTH, and Kathleen Westcoat of Baltimore HealthCare Access. A lively discussion was had about Baltimore’s strong research institutions and the health care disparities among its population. A full recap is forthcoming; meanwhile check out the pictures.
URBANEXUS brings together great minds in lectures and salon-style discussion centered on the future of the urban life in great cities across the country.
