I-95
I-95 runs along the Delaware River in Philadelphia and separates the city from the water. Convenient for some, an eyesore and albatross to others, the highway is certainly an unlikely art gallery. But for the past nine years the local photographer Zoe Strauss has reclaimed a section underneath I-95 for an annual exhibit of her work. Using bulky concrete beams as her white walls, Strauss displays a year’s worth of images of Philadelphia’s people and places.
