Next American City Heads to Milwaukee!

Next American City is proud to announce the next stop on our nationwide tour… and we’re headed to Milwaukee! On Sept. 17 at 5 p.m., Next American City and FUEL MIlwaukee will co-sponsor a symposium on public transportation at the We Energies building, 231 W. Michigan St. The symposium, which will discuss the pros and cons of improving the public transportation system in Milwaukee, will feature Rob Henken, president of the Public Policy Forum and Anita Connelly, CEO of the Milwaukee Co. Transit System, as panelists.

On Sept. 18, editor-in-chief Diana Lind will be making some guest appearances at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she will discuss her role as editor of a national magazine. Finally, on Sept. 20-21, Next American City online writer Dave Steele and other local Milwaukee residents will gear up for a 24:Hrs exploration of their hometown.

Stay tuned for more details!
