Say cheese, Chicago! And don’t stop saying cheese. Ever
“A Google-induced privacy debate that began on the coasts earlier this year lands in Chicago on Tuesday, when anyone with a computer will now be able to see what’s growing in your front yard if you live in the city.”

Is nothing sacred? No? Not even failed politicians?
“According to the chip, Madrazo took only 21 minutes to cover nine miles—faster than any human can run. ‘Not even the world record holder can go that fast,’ race director Mark Milde said.”

Architect’s threat: I’ll build a gang pad
“The letter said: ‘We believe the council will have no option but to certify the dwelling, complete with all the trees cut down and a two-metre corrugated iron fence to the boundary. The dwelling will be our clients’ fallback position as they have been approached by a well known motorcycle gang which requires a large house in this locality.’”

Magic Johnson’s Nashville development dream
“A spokeswoman for Johnson says the former Los Angeles Laker player will announce a new Nashville investment from his fund, the Canyon-Johnson Urban Fund, and that it will be for a development in the Gulch.”

Ha! Silicon Valley trumped by NYC as tech job hub
“The Industrial and Technology Assistance Corp. has found that the technology sector provides jobs to 227,000 people in New York City. Health care provides 366,000 jobs, while finance provides 313,000 jobs. The New York City Council’s committees on Technology in Government and Economic Development are expected to hold a joint hearing Wednesday to look into ways to continue promoting technology sector growth.”

And: the ten greatest streets in America. But we’re not on it :(
