Re-Imagining Cities: Urban Design After the Age of Oil

Starting bright and early at 9AM on Thursday, November 6th, the “Re-Imagining Cities: Urban Design After the Age of Oil” international symposium will be open to the public until 5PM on its opening day. The symposium proper starts at 8AM on Friday the 7th with registration and an opening plenary not long after.

Next American City will be on-hand for three days of events at the symposium, with liveblogging duties handled by correspondents Lloyd Alter (TreeHugger and Planet Green), Ryan Avent (Grist), Nate Berg (Planetizen), Andrew Blum (Metropolis and Wired), Randy Crane (UCLA School of Public Affairs) and Elizabeth Evitts Dickinson (New York Times Magazine, Architect, and Metropolis). They will be bringing you updates from the “Re-imagining Cities: Urban Design After Oil” international symposium all day, in case that pesky 9-5 of yours won’t let you out for the day.
