Kurt Braunohler

Kurt Braunohler was most recently seen at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal as well as in “Penelope: Princess of Pets” on Superdeluxe.com which he co-created. He has also traveled to the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen with the Neutrino Video Projects, which he helped create, as well as to the Edinburgh Theater Festival in Scotland, and was awarded “Improv Ensemble of the Year” by the Chicago Improv Festival. He co-hosts the variety show, Hot Tub, which was voted “Best New Variety Show” by Time-Out New York's readers poll. His creations include www.chengwin.com, which was voted by the Village Voice as “Best Hilarious Insane Guerilla Theatre.” You can see him on various commercials and TV shows, especially on VH1, where he talks about celebritities and on Adult Swim where you can hear his voice on “Assy McGee.”

Calvin Johnson

A well-rounded urbanist, Calvin Johnson has broad professional experience covering municipal budgeting, economic development, job training and workforce development, social services, financial management, and community planning. He resides in Brooklyn and currently is employed by the City of New York. Since 2001, he has collaborated with Kurt Braunohler and Scott Knowles on various psychogeographic projects, including the Life Map of Objects, an exploration of the New York Minute, and the 24 Hour Roadtrip presented at the 2004 and 2006 Conflux festival in New York City.

Scott Gabriel Knowles

Scott Gabriel Knowles is Director of the Great Works Symposium, and Assistant Professor in the Department of History and Politics, Drexel University.

Knowles teaches courses in modern urban history, the history of technology, and courses on risk and disaster studies in the Masters Program in Science, Technology, and Society at Drexel. He is currently working on a book titled “Experts in Disaster: A History of Risk and Authority in the Modern United States.” His most recent article appeared in Public Works Management and Policy in January, “Defending Philadelphia: A Historical Case Study of Civil Defense in the Early Cold War.”

Scott has been “practicing” psychogeography with Kurt Braunohler and Calvin Johnson since 2001.
